Requires one Simple underground junction box for repairing the rewiring (120VAC) to a light pole in front of the house. It worked great with this app. The wires are sealed at each end with a built in compression nut, but I also put some silicone grease on the two places where the wires enter the box as insurance. Nice little cable connection tool included. It looks like it should last and remain waterproof, but time will tell. As with ANY outdoor 120VAC wiring, make sure it is protected by a good quality RCD. The cost of a decent GFCI switch is small compared to the priceless loss of human life. Comply with all local electrical codes in your area. If I ever upgrade my desk lamp I will switch to a low voltage setting. Generally much safer.
