It could be excellent, but problems bother. Sounds great if you can get it to work with limited information enabled, and once you do it will fail. One of the two devices I bought had a bad 3.5mm jack which I was able to fix so both channels work. After spending a FULL day setting up this platform, I was immediately impressed with the lossless sound. BUT. I have to go through an hourly setup every 3 days or so, sometimes to no avail, a very frustrating part to keep working. NOT READY for prime time. The multi-mode sync across multiple sources, INCLUDING the optional optical input card, was my main reason for testing this unit, which has worked really great for the 2 weeks prior. Every time my computer restarts this thing goes into bluetooth mode without connecting to a PC that has no BT at all, the ringtones stop and start over. Strange. There is email support but with a major language barrier Joy is willing to help but doesn't seem prepared for it and without a user forum you're stuck. Also, the integration with the 4stream app seems to be problematic, as each touch is acknowledged with a slowdown in "success" feedback. Your progress, and since the top-level favorites folder doesn't work, you have to press 8+ buttons to change stations using the favorites folder in the internet radio subfolder, which is annoying. the application affected - the input was not displayed. ALSO, if you buy here, you don't get the $20 APCWorkbench installer "free with purchase". At this price I will spend some time making this platform a possible replacement for the horrible and expensive Sonos platforms in my customer base, but so far without much hope.
