This only works on the largest nuts like walnuts. I wanted it for pecans too, but the shape didn't match the design. If the nut is smaller than the nutcracker's circumference, it just won't work. This is a bad design for most nuts except walnut. It tapers down from the top to bottom of the part that is supposed to catch the nut so I don't see a nut that fits on it. There is a lack of ergonomics, physics or the like. The metal is cheap, pitted and covered in paint. I have requested a refund. They told me to keep it and gave my money back anyway. It went in the trash.
