Update: 03/13/19 I still like this lens. Works well, still feels solid and pictures come out great. I bought a 49mm universal lens hood for it. If you have money down the drain, buy an autofocus lens. If you're not afraid to save money and don't plan on shooting moving subjects, this lens is a must-have. It's a decent lens for the price. The center can be very sharp between f4 and f8. It gets a little softer towards the edges. The focus ring is smooth. The aperture ring is also smooth, with no clicks. Unfortunately the aperture goes from f8 to f22 in such a short turn, so good luck finding something in between. I enjoy this lens. For its price it is very good. Cons: It would be nice if a lens hood was included. Pros: Neat optics, solid construction, low price
