The camera is very easy to set up and use. I put the recommended lithium batteries in the camera and they have held up well. After 2 weeks and over 500 videos and photos, the battery is at 93%. It was during a time when the temperature in the area never rose above zero and dropped to -14F. I put a 128GB memory card in the camera and deleted it from unnecessary videos and photos every 4-5 days. I have never exceeded 2% capacity. So unless you plan on leaving your camera for a few months before booting up, you don't need a card larger than 64GB. Probably 32 GB will be enough. Motion sensors can track a small dog walking at least 80 feet away. I set up the camera on my porch and pointed it at the street in front of my house, which is only 70 feet from me, and was able to easily capture vehicles, people and animals walking down the street. I even took someone walking down the street at midnight. He stopped and looked at my house before moving on. I wonder who it was. In the attached video, the fox runs across the frozen lake behind my house. The fox was at least 50 feet from us and time was approaching dusk. I set the camera to maximum video quality. The camera is mounted on a tree about 10 feet from the lake. I was able to upload videos via WIFI from my patio 40ft away which was nice as the yard between my house and the lake was steep and covered in snow and ice at the time. The photo of the mink on my mother was taken after dark. Unfortunately the animal was at the bottom of the picture but you can still tell what it is. I have worked in the IT helpdesk and I can confirm that GardePro's technical support is excellent. I had trouble connecting the camera to my phone via WiFi. Tao and his technicians did everything possible to solve the problem. I particularly liked the excellent communication with the support team. They kept me informed of their activities so I didn't have to wonder if they were making any progress. Personally, I prefer to set the camera to the maximum megapixel setting because when uploading to a laptop, I can zoom in on a distant animal and still get good detail. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this camera.
