This earphone is very loud. I work as a security guard in a very noisy environment and the Motorola headphones just aren't loud enough. The microphone in this headset is quite bulky, but it lays flat so I can squeeze it with my wrist or even my chin when my hands are full. I've had two of these. The first lasted only two weeks of normal use before failing, while the second lasted about a week of normal use. Having not been able to easily walk, put it on and take it off, I cannot trust its reliability when I get into a physical situation where it matters most.
