The photos of these shoes were definitely better than the real thing. Bought these to test the On tech (as opposed to Hoka/New Balance/Adidas). The outsole definitely feels different, but that's okay. The upper sole I think missed the mark. I bought the black suede, the upper sole feels stiff and stiff. The first few walks/runs resulted in redness/irritation due to the suede tearing on my big toe. And the lacing system doesn't seem to allow me to tighten my shoes when I'm on the trail (garbage gets in easily). I wouldn't buy another pair - either for aesthetic or performance reasons. There are better On models to test - or I'd just go back to Hoka + New Balance for comfort + performance.
