Updated 5/9/21 - Worked great until last week. The app is incompatible with Android updates and crashes when you open it and go to the controls. We've never owned a drone and flew it out of the box for 20 minutes (and not just because the battery was fully charged upon arrival). After the drone was calibrated and connected to my phone, I accidentally tried to fly it at home not knowing the controls. I got it under control before I hurt my 3 year old son or my wife so I was immediately impressed. Once I got it out there (where to start) the launch was very smooth. The camera is continuously adjusted by moving the light switch. If I moved the switch too far, camera movement and zooming became a little choppy. I easily stayed within the distance limitations, about 40 feet in the air. They can be customized when you are ready. My son enjoyed seeing himself in a high quality camera image from above. Once the height or distance was slightly exceeded, the drone would automatically return to the set limits. It hung very well, which allowed me to hone my ability to control it. To land I just hit the home button and it came back and landed on its own. I like trying out the Follow Me feature and experimenting a bit, but I'm very impressed with the quality and value for money. It comes with extra blades and they seem a bit flimsy, but they're surprisingly strong. (Like I said, I accidentally tried to fly indoors for my first flight). If you are looking for a good start or even a pro looking for a cheap alternative this is a great choice!
