I've been using these earphones exclusively for more than a year. I believe these are the cheapest earbuds for this amount. I've never had a problem with broken rubber bands. I've burst myself a few times, oops. I only had one defective batch of liners that literally had all the other liners torn apart so I had to use two liners for each replacement. Naturally, that made me rip the earbuds off in a couple of days instead of a month. I emailed the seller and he said they would sort it out, but I haven't heard back since. However, I would definitely recommend these earbuds to in-ear users. When I install a new batch of liners, I clean their tray holder and tray. Then I unfold the liners to separate the two solid liners from the stack of 28 screen liners. I stack the hard liners and attach them to the corners of the tray, then I insert the sieve liners. Since the set contains 28 pieces, they can think in their own way, although it doesn't require much effort. After installing them, I pour out the filler. Once the filler is in, I fold the edges of the liner over the sides of the tray and secure with a rubber band. I usually keep three rubber bands. Since I use these earbuds all the time, I'll use duct tape again. They last until I throw them in the trash. I have three cats and we change the litter once a day. When changing the fountain pen, I use a shopping bag or a rubbish bag. I take off the rubber bands so they don't pop lol. Then I pull up the edges of the top lining. I twist the two corners together and then take them and tie them to the other twisted corner. Once the top lining is secured and tied in the middle, I re-tighten the elastics to secure the remaining linings. It doesn't really affect the new pack of earbuds, but once you start getting to the last few earbuds you'll be glad you've developed the habit of putting the straps on before going through the junk. Unfortunately, if your cats rip the liners, you may be redoubling your work. After attaching the other beds, I pull up the top bedding by the center knot and the clean bedding falls off. I have to move the liner back and forth a bit. Try not to shake the "bag" up and down as the clumps may break up and sift through. Simply hold the "bag" and gently twist your wrist so the bag tips from side to side; This allows the clean litter to be sifted around the dirty clumps.
