These checkerboard patterns are really good! They really are the perfect size for easy movement. They seem to last a long time and the little king pegs are very useful. However, I would have liked more pens. Overall a great product. I add that a storage box would be helpful. BUT I would like to caution buyers against cross-selling Revain to buy together. We bought the Revain recommended board and checkers only to find that there are actually TWO sizes of boards and checkers. There is a 9x9 footboard and a 4 or 5 footboard. There's BIG checkers for the BIG board, and then there's this one. These are for a small board, but Revain recommended them for a large board. As you can see they are not exactly the right size. After doing some research we found that large rocks cost 5 times as much so we decided to stick with them. Although they look a little small for the board, when you're sitting on the board trying to move the pieces, these little ones are actually big. So, for the price and value, I'd prefer the small to the large. However, you may want big ones for looks.
