on GMC Acadia 2008. Didn't know it sat under the car over the gas tank. And the tank is thin and long, running through the middle of the car (from where you fill up the gas to the back of the driver's seat). I had to drop the tank and luckily it was almost empty otherwise I would have spilled a lot of gas and it would have been much more difficult. After the tank fell off, this part was easy to replace. The hardest part is taking the tank off and putting it back on. Other people have also mentioned that you need to buy an additional adapter that is needed to connect the cable.
