I don't know how it was possible to put this film on without removing the wheel. Removing the wheel is easy. Just a few ideas I used to give it a factory look. Place the film on the wheel while it's still in the truck. Do not use double-sided tape, apply contact adhesive to the front of the wheel and to the wrapped surface. Stay away from the stitched area with cement. Buy a small can of cement and use the brush that comes with the kit. A smaller brush will come in handy later for edges and small areas. On the leather surface you need to apply a few layers. Glue the leather front to the front of the wheel. Now take off the wheel. Check YouTube for removal instructions, it's easy. Now with the wheel removed, do the same with the back of the wheel. Again, stay away from the sewn edges with cement and join the edges around the entire perimeter of the wheel. Now you can sew. Use a small brush to glue the excess leather edges. This technique didn't require me to use any plastic tools at all. The leather matches the factory look steering wheel. To be honest, sewing the wheel will take some time, but it's worth it.
