These shocks really have a bad reputation for the price. Bit the bullet and ordered them on a 2007 Harley Davidson VRSCD Night Rod. Yes they did say its not a touring bike! was very impressed with these shocks they rode very well on some pretty bad freeways. we rode mostly freeways. and very little freeways, much better to ride. I had 80 to 90 pounds of stuff on on the bike and added more at each stop!LOL I set the stack at #4 and they were perfect.I have medium control and front pegs.Feet on the front pegs, impossible to get into HUGE bumps. But these shocks handled 99% of each there were a few that were HUGE I found apart from doing a great job of replacing them when I get home a About they ride great Oh I ping them and may replace them with higher level progressive shocks in the future if I can find them for my bike. States like California, where I live, have the HIGHEST TAXES in the US. The roads are TERRIBLE, bumps, holes, cracks. They cite the lack of freeways in California. But when you come to a state like South Dakota with LOW taxes that cut gas prices by $1.00 to $1.35, the freeways were great.
