Review on SUCOOL 8-Pack 48W LED Off-Road Flood Lights - Ideal for Jeep Cabin, Boat, SUV, Truck, Car, ATV, and Marine Vehicles by Jaymai Alford

These lights worked incredibly well with my bowfishing rig. I installed them in May 2016 and they have survived many muddy and foggy nights on the lake. Even though I use a relatively small boat these lights are more than enough to have just two on each side as they penetrate the water very well. On calm nights, spotting fish at 15-20 feet is no problem with these lights, and they also have a nice tide effect that illuminates the surrounding water well enough to spot potential hazards. After leaving the lights on for several hours, they generate little heat, which seems to reduce the number of flying insects trying to crowd the boat. The only downside I've found with these lights is that they drain the battery after a few hours of use. This is of course easily remedied by adding another 12V battery, but should still be considered. I currently take four 12v batteries on a typical sea trip and still have short nights due to the dead batteries. With one battery for the trolling motor and two more to power 5 of the 48 watt lights along with some low powered LEDs, a backup battery is needed for about the 4th hour. (As some batteries become obsolete, in other cases these numbers will surely change). Overall these lights deserve a 5/5 for excellent packaging, functionality and brightness. They have been used in semi-humid conditions for about 50-60 hours and have outperformed every other lamp I have tried to date. All lights work right out of the box, enough light to catch fish in choppy waters or light the path for a vehicle. Good flashlights at a good price. UPDATE: I am now using these lights (5 of them) in a 24v system between two deep cycle batteries. I haven't had any problems with them so far and they still seem to be in good condition.
