I've never had a french press and don't have anything quite like it but I've sifted coffee grounds, small basket gets bulky but not all. I placed the coffee filter in my brew basket and strained the coffee through it into the jar, then rinsed the rest of the ground coffee out of the press, poured back the coffee brew and put the lid back on. easy to fix. Temple! The whisk turned out to be much stronger than expected.
