My 2 year old daughter and I love these crayons! She likes bright colors and that they are more durable than thin crayons and don't break as easily. I like that they wash well on absolutely any surface and leave NO stains! If my daughter accidentally rubs our furniture or floors, I just wipe it off with a damp cloth. I sharpen them with a small hand sharpener with two different sized holes, on the larger one. Smaller details are more difficult to color in (compared to thinner colored pencils) so it can be frustrating for an older child, but that's why I just keep sharpening them.
