Definitely not easy to clean. It is not a solid material so dirt will either get stuck in the cracks or seep through the mat onto the floor/carpet. The manufacturer's photos show that you can lift the mat to dump the excess dirt back into the box. Absolutely not as the rug is not a solid piece of material, when you lift the rug to empty the extra trash into the box all that dirt will just go through the rug and rain down onto your rug/floor. Definitely not durable, especially if your cat likes to scratch and paw at the mat after leaving the box. Your cat will tear it apart immediately. The photo also shows a cat lying on it as if it were thick and comfortable enough that a cat would want to lie on it. Not this case. Carpet is thin, no amenities.
