The tab on the tie broke immediately as soon as I got tired of inserting the tie as the tie used is probably the thinnest and most fragile piece of junk that I've ever seen. To make it even better, the tie is glued on (not the loose sleeve) so it cannot be attached. And the 3M tape used on the back is definitely not strong enough to hold the chrome in place. I haven't even had the chance to plug it in yet, and I'm not sure I'll even try. EDIT: Since it was broken I thought I'd look at it a bit more. The seals are very bad here, the sealant hardly sticks to the rubber caps. I don't think rubber hoses hold water or condensation for very long. Also, the heat shrink tubing covering the reverse shift chip does not adhere well to the wire, so condensation can easily drain into the chip. And in that sense, the chip is high in the row, which means you can cut at most 2/5 of the wire without having to solder/crimp the wire. All in all, this is a very bad buy. Save your money and just buy a cheap LED strip. A 41mm pipe had the ends almost touching and a standard screed definitely wouldn't hold. The wires were difficult to solder as they burned easily as the filaments were thinner than hair (definitely wouldn't trust the crimping). I also went through and shrunk everything in heat shrink tubing including the reverse switch IC. Considering the cost, I wouldn't need to redo the whole thing just to get it working properly. Most people can't or don't have the resources to operate on something that should work right away. I still can't recommend anyone to buy something like this. I still have them but they are temporary.
