Garbage can or cone with something protruding like .

I coach girls basketball in high school and many drills I find in books or online suggest Chairs, dustbins or cones with something protruding to use an obstacle on the course. I just couldn't imagine that something that bulky, dirty or potentially dangerous would get in the way of my athletes. I signed my son up for a basketball skills class with a former college/NBA player and he used them for some shooting and dribbling practice and I just knew to get them for my team. They stand up without adding any extra weight to the base, but one kick from the rider and he topples over, requiring weights underneath to support him during use. I personally didn't want to mess around with adding sand to the bases, so I used a 10lb weight (with extra large or olympic holes) on the plastic base.
