They are the perfect size. Most rocks I've purchased online tend to be on the smaller side and these are actually a decent size for choosing a really detailed, intricate design. My daughter and I loved spending the day painting and decorating our rocks. A few rocks had flaws and cracks in them, but we just used those flaws to our advantage. You will want to wash them off before decorating/applying paint. They have a fine layer of rock dust on them. Nice, smooth, perfect rocks for painting.
