I've been using the jug for about a month and finally had to stop using and replace it. I have no idea what the logic behind the design of the lid was. It's just wide open to the air from the fridge. As I understand it, this should be somewhat reminiscent of the cap pouring queue. except these lids on the plastic jugs fit snugly against the plastic wall so when you twist them away from the spout they seal to a degree and block airflow. This lid doesn't do that. If you twist the holes away from the spout, they're just wide open. there is practically no lid on it. You can also leave the cover fully open to achieve any airflow restrictions this cover achieves. OK. I was very excited to find this jug, I just wasn't expecting the lid to be so poorly designed.
