Attention buyers! This product claims to hold up to 440 pounds which is far from the truth. The only reason we bought this shoe rack was because she said she could handle that much weight. After a day of assembly it broke. Mind you, that was at 300 pounds, which is a lot less than the 440 pounds he said he could handle. We thought all visitors would be fine in our new one, regardless of their weight, but it couldn't accommodate a single visitor. I would say that this product may only handle 200lbs at most, more than half of the advertised 440lbs. So if that's all you need it for, this might be for you, but I wouldn't risk it anyway. UPDATE: The company contacted me via email. I ended up getting a full refund. Thank them for that. I will give them an extra star for customer service. However, my original rating is that it clearly does not hold up to 440 pounds as shown in the photos.
