I bought this item to get rid of a simmering mess under one of my burners when a regular scrubber wasn't working, hoping it would be small but effective for the job would in this narrow range compared to a paint scraper. There is no such happiness. The plastic blade was completely ineffective and unusable for any recycling. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're trying to scrape sticky paper off glass because there's nothing sharp you can scrape it off with.
