My cat is a 19 pound Maine Coon who does not eat wet cat food other than Meow Mix Real Shrimp in Tuna. It makes champ-chump-champ sounds when it chews and purrs when it sees it. He rummages in his desk drawer over lunch to tell me exactly what he wants. His dry food is Call of Wild Rocky Mountain Salmon and Venison, which is high in protein. As a kitten, he ate branded cat food, smelled like cornmeal, and gained weight. He wasn't acting and "didn't look right". I started researching and found out that the main ingredient in his meal was cornmeal! Since then, I've been a label reading beloved parents. He will not eat pies, cat treats, or human food. We have tried several other wet dishes for him, but this is his "unique". If he doesn't eat wet food once a day, his droppings will be hard balls. Being such a picky eater and not eating much at once, Meow Mix is just the right size. It eats about 1/3 of it when it's open and then finishes it at night. He's a whistle, but we certainly love him. He's such a good boy and deserves the best. As far as we know, Meow Mix tuna and whole shrimp is best.
