Update: 06/02/2020 The coil has stopped heating. Doesn't keep my cup warm anymore, I think it's working fine since I've been using it daily. But I hope it lasts a little longer than what I paid for. This keeps things really hot in the cup. It has a weight sensor that fires the heating coil when something is placed on it. I like to take my hot drink slowly, I mean the whole 8 hour shift with one sip slowly. Of course I'm talking about tea. Coffee needs to be drunk faster as it is stale. Note: DO NOT USE AS A STAND. It will be hot all day and night if there is anything on top. Even when empty. My cup is a bit heavy so it works even if it's empty. Learned this the hard way. I wish it was off for 2 or 3 hours for security reasons, but that's my own oversight if it ever happens. (again)
