Review on 🍷 Black Rabbit Compact Electric Wine Opener with Corkscrew, 10.75 inches by Kayla Johnson

Still trivial, but best we've tried

As wine lovers/collectors, we tend to get lots of wine-related gadgets as gifts from well-meaning friends and family members, so we tried out some of these electric corkscrews that may be legit. a boon for those with arthritis or other strength and/or manual dexterity issues, but often more effort and expense than is worth for those who don't. Corks break or get stuck in the mechanism, they are noisy, take up a lot of counter space with bulky charging station and clog the kitchen outlet. So we tend to use what's given to us for a while before it's shoved into the cupboard and then eventually donated during one of my kitchen cleans. most. First, it doesn't have a bulky charging station, instead it plugs straight into the wall with a small USB-based charger and allows you to open 20-30 bottles on a single charge. It comes with a very small stand that doubles as a foil cutter, allowing the capsule-shaped opener to stand upright or lay flat. You can also just slide it into a standard box, which I really like. It is about half the size of our previous electric openers and much quieter. It's shorter than our wine glasses and about half the size of a standard bottle. Handling is very simple: remove the foil capsule, if present, place the opener on the bottle and press the button. The opener removes the cork and then pushes it out of the mechanism with a single push. In fact, the process is quite fun to watch and for those unfamiliar with the electronic opener, it's always a conversation starter. What it's still not good at is that the wax capsules can dull it (and get bits of wax into the electronic mechanism) and the corks are definitely more ruined (a bit chewed up) than if you put something like the waiter's friend or Ah use -So which can be a big problem with older or looser corks. But for 90% of bottles it works well, much smaller than any other electric bottle opener, looks sleek and easy to use. It comes in a tube and is definitely a suitable gift for your friend, a wine lover who doesn't know what to get.
