One of the strips cracked making a crackling sound of electricity and the green light flickered as soon as I touched it plugged into finally flickering and the crackling has stopped and the light no longer comes on. I haven't tested it to see if it's still powering anything, and while the light alone may have a faulty connection, I don't want to risk the entire unit jiggling inside and burning out my stuff with or without power from it . In the end I just threw it away. A pair was inexpensive and I really only needed one. I'm not willing to pay return shipping for a pair as I only needed one and one of these seems to work.
