We need this for a holiday and it works quite well except for two things: 1) it needs to be programmed very carefully or you won't get any feedings at all, needs programming : Time of day then feeding time and THEN number of feedings (1 or 2) for each time 2) it spreads the food over a long area so if you don't have a large enough opening for your tank it will drop the food. We prepared a piece of styrofoam for the food to get into the aquarium, although there are times when the styrofoam gets wet and food builds up on it.
