Honestly, I don't understand all the negative reviews. I read all the reviews AFTER the purchase and immediately regretted it because of the many negative reviews. I had 9 minutes to order mine to receive it in 2 days and had to quickly install it over the weekend. I received it after 2 days and was very skeptical about the quality due to the negative reviews. It was VERY easy to install. It took maybe 30 minutes and that's with drilling the hole. The quality is excellent. I can see where some of you "might" have issues with a charging cable or a drop cable not staying in the power connector, but I used a Minn Kota 230pc charging connector. This connector is designed for use with chargers and NOT your Walmart cable. The plug on my Minn Kota 230pc charger is longer than most of the cords in my garage. I installed the charger so that the cable from the charger can reach the power connector. It's very tight. I tightened the mounting screws, but not overtightened. I didn't have either. I took my cable and kept plugging it into the power port to see if the end of the charger would fall off like some of the negative reviews said and I did NOT have these issues. It didn't move at all. I should mention that I put 2 zip ties around the power connector NOT because it was necessary or because I felt it necessary but because one of the other negative reviewers here said it helped him get rid of it. I have to say overall I haven't had any issues and it works great. I would buy it again if I needed a different charger. I'll add photos as soon as I can take some.
