Not worth the money, doesn't work with 4K/120Hz/HDR or 8k
Receiver is a complete mess when it comes to video modes above 4K/60Hz. Here's what I get with the best of the best HDMI 2.1 cables (see attached photo): 4K resolution at 120Hz refresh rate, HD/R enabled, and 7.1 PCM audio. This is a common issue for Matantz receivers: their software is buggy like junk. I've owned 3 different Marantz receivers - all suffered from some sort of HDMI handshaking issue. To return.
