The purchase brought only positive emotions.

I have experience using the SR 7011 receiver, so I will compare: The amplifying part is absolutely identical. Judging by what you can see through the vents, we can say that the manufacturer saves on some details (board shielding) with each generation. Differences from the previous generation regarding only video processing are identical in sound (there is a warm-up period, after 1-1.5 they became equal in sound). The most important thing that bothered me while using the sr 7015 was the…

Pros
  • Support for current audio and video formats. original sound character.
Cons
  • For the most part they are not, but there are nuances

The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

For me, this is the first receiver (although it’s not a receiver) of this level, before that it was simpler from Onkyo, which I bought as part of a home theater. Therefore, I’m not a sophisticated user, and since I didn’t see any reviews on this device, I decided to write it . A good AV amplifier, with a good power reserve and also a reserve for the future. If you consider it in cinematic terms, then it will definitely not disappoint you, the effects of multi-channel sound work out with a…

Pros
  • 1) 9.2 channel sound out of the box, and this is imax or aura 3D. 2) Provides 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz resolution video, future headroom, relevant for connecting game consoles. 3)Supports the latest surround sound formats: Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization Technology, DTS:X and DTS Virtual, IMAX Enhanced and Auro-3D (the latter work when connected to 7.1 or more), alas, when connected to 5.1.2 (dolby atmos), the Wow effect also provides ! 4) The presence of the eARC HDMI function is a convenient thing, and alas, if we want to get the effect of dolby atmos, imax enhanced or Aura 3D, real multi-channel sound from a smart TV, then we connect it via HDMI eARC, through optics only stereo, which is virtualized in 5.1, but also not bad. 5) Support for HDR formats ( HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, Dynamic HDR, Dolby Vision ), 4:4:4 chroma subsampling, BT202222 compliant 6) There is a phono corrector, for the entry level of vinyl, it will do, moreover, with grounding. 7) Support Spotify, Deezer, Amazon Music, Tidal. 8) Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant or Apple Siri 9) Sound calibration in Audyssey MultEQ XT32 mode, I really liked how I set up the sound in the room. 10) multi-room, whereby you can leave multi-channel sound in the main room and use the second zone, many receivers unfortunately leave stereo in the main room when using the second zone. 11) For music lovers, it is possible to connect fronts via Bi-amping, if 9 channels are not used. For example, when connecting 5.1 and 7.1
Cons
  • 1. there is no way to make a stereo + center mode - it was on a cheaper onkyo, and it was not necessary to climb into the jungle to set up the front + sub, it changed on the fly, here, alas, we climb into the settings and configure. 2. The application for controlling from the phone, not to be confused with HEOS for controlling Internet radio, installed, buggy and slow + complain that it quickly drains the phone's battery, respectively, removed it. 3. It is not a receiver, there is no FM antenna in the kit, although now it is hardly needed. 4. It heats up, specifically, unlike the same Onkyo receiver, so you can’t put something on it, there must also be a distance to the left and right, which would be blown, otherwise I’m afraid my friend may overheat. 5. I did not find how to remove the cut in manual mode, for example, from the fronts, I left at least 40hz. in the auto calibration mode, the slice was removed from the fronts on its own.

Not worth the money, doesn't work with 4K/120Hz/HDR or 8k

Receiver is a complete mess when it comes to video modes above 4K/60Hz. Here's what I get with the best of the best HDMI 2.1 cables (see attached photo): 4K resolution at 120Hz refresh rate, HD/R enabled, and 7.1 PCM audio. This is a common issue for Matantz receivers: their software is buggy like junk. I've owned 3 different Marantz receivers - all suffered from some sort of HDMI handshaking issue. To return.

Sounds Great Easy to Install

This is easily the best sounding A/V Surround Sound Receiver I have ever heard. Additionally, the built in speaker and A/V setup tool running on my TV screen made it very easy to set up my new receiver. Audyssey's auto setup tool got my system's surround sound settings just right for my room. I was amazed at how good it sounds no matter what I see or hear. The only downside is that the delivery was left at my house on the porch without a signature. This was definitely a disappointment with…

Great product for 8k/4K@120

I can honestly say after returning 3 different AVRs this one finally met my expectations. The sound quality is amazing, the features and benefits fully justify the price. Couldn't be happier and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to spend at least $1,000 on quality hardware. No, of course there are other options that cost a lot less money, but you don't get all the pre-outs, 8K options and Marantz quality. I've currently hooked up an Xbox, PS5 and three power amps to this bad boy and…

Excellent build quality and great sound. Firmware needs revision

What's good: - Excellent build quality. This thing is a monster. A NOTICE. Heavy and high. Make sure it fits and the shelf can support it. - Once the speakers are properly placed, superior sound - just what you would expect from a mid-range AVR - So many inputs, support for HDMI 8K and/or two 4K outputs, eArc, etc. The wireless network is easy to set up and very responsive even hidden in my AV closet. Room to grow: Suffer from a 4K HDMI chipset bug, which means you can get a blank screen from…

Musical for Stereo/Dynamic for Movies

After a few weeks of using the SR6015 I'm happy to understand why audiophiles on the Audiogon forum insist on using 2-channel systems for music more than not movies too . These guys can be snobs, but sometimes they have the last word on audio advice. Many have both a system for music and a separate system for TV/Movies. The average system for them costs over $20,000 for two-channel audio alone. I am very pleased that although part of me wants the best sound and picture on the system I am very…
