Review on 🎧 Marantz SR6015 9.2 Channel AV Receiver with 8K Support, Immersive 3D Audio, Built-in HEOS, and Voice Control by Jerry Estrada

What's good: - Excellent build quality. This thing is a monster. A NOTICE. Heavy and high. Make sure it fits and the shelf can support it. - Once the speakers are properly placed, superior sound - just what you would expect from a mid-range AVR - So many inputs, support for HDMI 8K and/or two 4K outputs, eArc, etc. The wireless network is easy to set up and very responsive even hidden in my AV closet. Room to grow: Suffer from a 4K HDMI chipset bug, which means you can get a blank screen from some input devices. @ 120Hz. Marantz "says" they are working on a solution and registering your device. Oh, and figuring out how to register the unit was a hassle - it's NOT on the main Marantz website, it's on the support site). I've had better experiences with much cheaper/much older devices. In my opinion manual tuning is probably the best choice. HDMI-CEC (HDMI Control) is not fully capable of basic commands (the device responds to an off command, but not necessarily to an on command). Probably depends on the device sending the command. I have an open incident with Marantz regarding this. Always shows the volume bar on the TV screen, even if you have set it not to. Trouble - Bluetooth settings just close the AVR menu so I don't know how to test them - Apps: (HEOS/Marantz) quite a bit of junk and I won't be using them.
