This is a great ultra light travel pot that I have owned for a few months, have used on several camping trips and have cooked a range of things in it (from pasta to boiling water). Many people complain that the lid snaps shut. on and cannot be easily detached. This is NOT a design flaw, it is to allow the noodles to pass through without the lid falling off. That's why it's called a noodle pot lol. Also, the snap-on lid is VERY easy to remove by gently pulling on the back end of the lid near the handles. Just gently pull with your finger, spoon or stick and it pops instantly. Some people are concerned that the lid could cause a dangerous boiling water situation because it's being pressed against the pot. If you don't want to press the lid against the pot, you can simply place the lid lightly on the pot without pressing down to pinch it like any other titanium pan on the market. Another reviewer complained that the plastic on the handles could be melted by the flames of your stove. I've used the stove so many times I can't count and never thought those plastic handles would melt. and they never did. There are no burn marks on the handles. Again, this is not a design flaw. They are made of silicone and are designed to work at high temperatures to protect your hand from a hot pen when you lift it off the stove. This actually means I don't have to use a towel or polish to take the pot! One of my favorite features of this pot is its wider base. This allows more of your stovetop flame to cover the bottom of the pot, reducing fuel consumption and cooking time (which also saves weight since you can bring in less fuel). This can make a big difference when you are in the country. I'm pretty sure you won't find another 1 liter hiking potty as light and versatile as this one. Yes, it's an expensive pot, and there are much cheaper titanium pots from Toaks (which I also have) and they're great pots too. But a snap lid and silicone grips (so I don't have to bring an extra towel to grab the heart grips), clamping holes and a wider base, while being ultra light, is worth the extra money to me. just fits a 220g (7.75 oz) gas bottle perfectly when cooking for two or on long solo travellers. I usually take a smaller 113g gas bottle along with a BRS stove for a 3-4 day solo trip. I boil water 2-3 times a day on my travels and have never run out of fuel. If you are looking for an ultra-light 1 liter pot that is also good at straining pasta, buy this pot! Five stars!
