First I should say I have never owned linen bedding and after researching prices and reading an article that highly recommended this brand (as being the cheapest) I got it. When I opened the package I wondered how soft they would get after one wash, they were quite hard. I washed once and lay on the bed and after much tossing and grumbling from me and my husband we got up in the middle of the night and put our old soft cotton sheets back on. I received a duvet made from the same fabric. and it's softer so I'm keeping it for the linen look but sheets just aren't for us. I would only recommend it if you like exfoliating while you sleep.
