Using it for road bike lights works well.

For the price it has excellent brightness and performance. For an additional $20 per headlight you could probably get a brighter LED, but I use them for motorcycle headlights, I have a feeling that if they were much brighter it would result in a fine. It says it's a headlight, not a headlight. I agree. Pointing straight ahead in 20 feet will give you a full coverage beam about 10 feet wide. This is important when using motorcycle headlights. If you want this for off-road and maximum coverage, you'll probably need a headlight configuration.
