Background: I used this external drive enclosure when trying to clone my laptop hard drive to a new SSD; I then used the case to house my existing 2TB drive as a storage device. The body is made of plastic. This makes the case very light, but feels a bit wobbly. Once the case is closed, the entire unit seems strong enough to prevent the sliding door from accidentally opening. The USB 3.0 cable is short (about 6 inches) but adequate. Installation. To install a SATA drive, simply remove the cover, connect the drive and close the case. It is so easy. Ejecting the disc is just as easy. Windows 10 - Disk Management recognized the drive immediately without any problems. Conclusion: I would buy again as an inexpensive external drive housing.
