I would suggest buying them a month or two BEFORE the intended use date so they get rid of that damn formaldehyde smell that's so common with imported plastic products. I literally can't keep them in the store until they lose some of that smell. Other than that, they're exactly the same as any gland nut I've ever seen. As for the "thread length" it's the same as all the others. It is listed in the ad text. That's what they tell you to expect. I don't really get negative feedback citing thread length as a problem. If you need longer thread, you need to buy one with longer thread. Don't buy one that obviously doesn't fit and then complain that it's the wrong size. Thanks - Lumpy
