My first PC since Windows 98

I've mostly come from the Mac perspective since I last used Windows 98. This is my favorite laptop/computer. The Vivobook is thin and light, and mine is consistently quiet. (I was concerned the Mac never beeps, but I've always heard PCs sound like jet planes.) A 14-inch screen size is my ideal. It's not too bulky to be unwieldy on my lap, but not too small to be uncomfortable for prolonged reading or typing. The backlit keyboard was another great feature for me and one of the reasons I went for it. Model. On the second setting, the brightness is just enough to aid in late night typing without smearing or excessive light leakage. The keys are also pleasant to type on and offer great comfort during long typing sessions. Numeric pad aside, it's all top row. It was an advantage for me, but I know it's not for others. Ryzen 5 is fast. My Vivobook turns on, scans my finger and spins up in seconds. It's extremely impressive and faster than my 2018 MacBook. Web browsing and video streaming feel smooth and seamless. The only downside I have is the viewing angles of the screen. It doesn't take much tilt or a little twist to blur the screen almost completely. It's not a (big) business, but it makes any affiliate work a little awkward. That's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Overall, I'm glad I switched to Windows and ultimately to this Vivobook. Save some money and go with it.
