Okay, let me start by saying I didn't expect it to go with a real real banana. Put some bananas in your grocery order to see if it works. My daughter pulled the first banana out of the bundle and she burst right in! So I didn't buy them to hold bananas, I bought them to hold snacks like nuts, pieces of cheese, or fresh small veggies. Maybe I could put them in a bag if I was traveling with a banana holder. There are ventilation holes and straps. I use this to measure out enough food for my diet.
