Review on πŸ•ΆοΈ TheraSpecs Haven Migraine and Light Sensitivity Blue Light Glasses by Smriti Pearson

My doctor agrees! They work! Wait, this may take a while

Pro!: These things are awesome. When I put them on for the first time, I felt my eyes relax immediately. I had no idea there was something wrong with my eyes, I always thought my sensitivity to light was normal - the light can be bright :P These things help you in two different ways. 1: You relax your eyes. You will feel it immediately! Immediately after putting on the glasses. This is an amazing moment that everyone with migraines/photosensitivity should experience. 2: You make your migraines go away - as soon as your eyes are relaxed enough. This may take some time for some people. You may still have migraines for a few more weeks, but if you stick with it and wear them all day - or at least be near LEDs/screens - you'll see an improvement in your migraines too, it just takes time until everything wears off came back to normal. Balance. Some minor downsides: These things are for everyone, like many regular glasses. This means the headphones are not ideal for you. You may find that they are crooked, or that one side slides down more than the other, or that they just fall off your face. You can take them to the eyewear store and have earplugs made for you. You put them in very hot sand (or something like that?) and that makes them malleable to take the shape of your head. You can try something similar at home, but make sure you heat it - without heat you can't bend your arms, you'll just ruin your glasses. People where I live treat me differently when I wear them. I can only assume they think I'm punk or some kind of stoned hippie or something. In my experience, wearing these glasses makes me more likely to be seen as a thief or a liar. I'm regularly asked to show ID/ID when doing anything with these glasses - getting a prescription, going to the bank, exiting the grocery store, to the point where I often have them after checking out at the store. so I'm not stopped at the exit for someone to carefully check my car for what they think I've stolen. This may not bother some people, but sometimes it really annoys me that people have one more reason to think I'm trash before they start talking to me. it's uncomfortable. I got them when I was working my last job and almost everyone took them lightly because they knew me as a person even before I got them. I switched to a new job a few months ago, wore these glasses on my first day of work and most of the people in the office have already taunted me. No jokes are going to make me want my migraines back, but it's definitely something to consider before buying. If you suffer from social anxiety or severe "I need to fit in" complexes, you may be very nervous about how others will react to you wearing these glasses. On the other hand, like a free maturity meter, it's quite interesting for everyone in the room with you :). I will be buying another pair to have a second style on hand and will definitely replace if something happens to you.
