This ball is the perfect size for a stuffed hamster. Five and seven inch balls are too small and will arch the hamster's back, which is not good for him at all. The ball is great, but you can't drop it, it can crack. I really don't understand why the 10 inch size is so expensive compared to the 7 inch size. Plastic is pleasant, transparent, completely translucent. The ventilation is also good. So I'm happy with the use and size of the ball but not at all happy with the price. I bought it brand new as I had a very bad experience buying "used like new" at $18. When we got this earlier everything was scratched, had a few tears, one of the plastic latches was broken and we had extra poop. And they called it.
