Review on 🌟 Enhance Your Space with Parmida's Dimmable LED Recessed Downlight by George Bell

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Low quality. Little light. Cheap accessories. etc.

Cons: Light spectrum not as described. 3000K is a "warm" and comfortable light tone, something like incandescent lamps of the past. This is a low-power blue/white version, similar to a cheap LED headlamp. Weak finish. Lumens (a measure of a light's output - basically) is around 500 and for our purposes (remodeling/home lighting) is much dimmer than the Lithonias we've used. Inexpensive construction (compared to competitor construction). In particular the lens, the LED and the junction box where the electrical connections take place. Compatible with fewer dimmers than some competitors. Pros: Ultra-thin design. This makes them an AWESOME all round downlight product, but the design is not brand specific ie. Competitors make the same super thin line design but with higher quality. Installation. It's very easy. The connectors are push pins, making them quick, efficient, and easy. Fast shipping and good return policy (which I use). Conclusion: WE LOVE ultra-thin linear LEDs and as a repair professional we use them (not these special lights) all the time! This technology has pushed the old recessed lighting models/methods out of the water! We can place these thin linear lights in wet areas e.g. B. as shower lighting. Areas with limited space, e.g. B. if your ceiling is framed 2 x 4 instead of 2 x 12 or there are vents, cables or other obstructions. They can be used in conjunction with insulation, whereas in the past this type of installation required a special flush-mounting box. They don't generate heat, so not only do you save energy on lighting, but you also don't turn on the air conditioning to compensate for heat dissipation. We can just run the wires in the framing process without sticking the metal cans into the ceiling, and then run our drywall without cutting the metal cases (roto-zip), and then come back with a 4" or 6" hole saw , take the wires and insert lights. It saved time, energy and money! On a recent basement renovation project I decided to give these a try as they cost about half the price of 4" and 6" Lithonia LEDs. We are always in favor of increasing margins, but not at the expense of quality. So they're shipping back and I'm still looking for something as good but less expensive than the Lithonia models. Good luck with your project.
