The speaker can be connected via Bluetooth or directly to the Aux or USB ports. When connected via Bluetooth, we had to restart the speaker before it worked. The sound quality is really great! One thing we don't like is the robotic female voice that speaks when the speaker is plugged in and it's very loud and you can't understand the message very well. And can't turn down the volume. When we first tested the Bluetooth functionality, there was a lag between video and audio (mouth movement didn't match), but syncing was fine when a speaker was connected. The speaker has a rainbow color. Ads, which is pretty cool, but there's no way to turn them off while the device is still running.
