Review on Cuisinart Stainless Steel Conical Burr Mill: Compact, Programmable for Precision Grinding by Jessica Duran

After reading some of the reviews I was hesitant to buy this cuisinart programmable grinder. I took a chance as I have several cuisinart kitchen appliances and love them all. I've had this for a few days now and decided to write my review today after pouring over my morning coffee and noticing how the shape of the grinder jar narrows at the top making it easy to pour straight into my brew. Filters with no side protrusions through which coffee can splash onto the counter. That's a big plus! After setting the grind level to the cup count and grind level, press start and then pour directly into the suction filter. Two things to note, yes, as others have said, it doesn't have an off button and so I hooked it up to a surge protector and just used the power strip button as a switch. I also connected my kettle to this bar. I bought a Bonavista kettle (no variable temperature) and I really liked it too. The second feature of the grinder that others have mentioned is that the device doesn't remember the selected number of cups. So when the machine turns back on I need to be sure I've reset/selected the correct number of grinder cups. I would like. For 4 cups, which is the amount I usually brew, I usually use about 4 tablespoons of coffee when choosing that amount and I've found that grinder machines are a bit larger, but I don't mind adding a bit more and pouring just put the whole crowd in my stream and the coffee was great. The device is not quiet, but I've had other coffee grinders and they weren't quiet either. I also find that it's not too annoyingly loud in my opinion. I think that's a typical grinding noise and I have nothing to complain about. I've had other grinders that make a very big mess with lots of soil on the outside of the bin, but I only find a very small (splashing) amount with this grinder and I just use a small soft brush to brush it off (quite a lot of my mill), I have nothing to complain about here either. I love this coffee grinder and would recommend and buy it again.
