I love this mattress topper

So we had a mattress topper for many years until our house burned down. I've been looking for a replacement for almost a year but didn't want to spend $120-150 on a new one. I finally chose it based on the reviews and price and I'm glad I did. I've missed having my bed warm when I lay down in it and the preheating feature of this item couldn't be better. I bought a king size with two controls. I would like to address some of the negative reviews I have seen on this product. The first is the position of the fork. Yes, it is at the foot of the bed and is on top, not on the side. That was my main issue when I bought this as my old mattress topper had a peg on the side. I had no problems with the location of this connector. It's in the middle of the bed so I don't bump into it if I sleep on one side. I would like to point out that I could see how annoying this would be if you were a tall person and sleeping in the middle of the bed, but I think to just put the plug on top where it would be under the pillow. be the solution. For me it was no problem. Second, how hot is the panel. I agree that this thing gets very hot on low settings. I tried setting it on high and it was too hot. I like to sleep very warm and my setting is no higher than 2. I have a habit of turning on the pre-heater about 10 minutes before bed and when I crawl into bed it's very warm. and the setting is already on 2. I don't have to remember to turn off the heating when I get up in the morning because it turns off after 10 hours. I agree with other reviewers that being able to choose the number of hours to turn off would be very nice, but for the price I can handle what I have. The third complaint is the feeling of wires when you sleep at night. I put a heated mattress pad on top of the mattress, then cover it with a waterproof mattress pad, then sheets and I can still feel the wires a little bit. Not that it bothers me, but I've seen it bother someone who was sensitive to it. Being able to add another layer between you and the heated mattress pad will help reduce your sensations. For me it wasn't a problem because it didn't bother me and I didn't expect anything special for the price of this item. If even the slightest sensation of wires bothers you, I'd recommend spending the extra cash on one with a higher fill content. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. So much so that I bought two more twin sizes for my boys. They have slept in my bed the whole time since I got this item and I know the only way to get them back in their beds is to give them one of these. Having only had this item for about 3 weeks I can't comment on its durability but I will update this review in a year to comment on this part. If you are looking for a functional and affordable heated mattress topper, give this one a try. The pillow is in perfect condition and still works as well today as it did on day one. Even the ones I bought for my kids still work. This heating pad has not let me down and I think it's a great product for its durability and reasonable performance. I would like future versions of this item to have an adjustable timer, but that might increase the price. It's a great heating pad and I didn't have to pay a fortune for it. If you're on the fence, get out there and buy this one.
