I was looking for a replacement brake light that would last the life of the car. Unfortunately, this bulb looks about ten times brighter than the original bulb and is therefore completely useless as a brake light. Aside from being a lot less wattage than an incandescent bulb, the main problems are that LED emitters only emit light through the end of the bulb and not out the sides like a filament, and there are no brake housing reflectors at all. I should have taken a picture but no doubt it's much dimmer than a regular incandescent bulb.
