Not bright enough. You can hardly see them in daylight. See photo, on the passenger side (left in photo) is a regular bulb, on the other side is an LED bulb.

Although the fitting instructions say it will fit my 1999 Miata, it doesn't. This is a standard base LED bulb. Miata uses Socket CK. The wiring is different. I ended up breaking the bulbs and redirecting the pins inside the case. It can be done but not recommended. Philips makes amazing products. This is one of them. If your car uses a standard socket, this product is suitable for you.

I bought red LEDs to replace the burnt taillight and turn signal. If you only need them as taillights and brake lights, that might be fine. They looked good and were bright. Buy one that isn't as bright as the halogen they replaced. The problem was that they also worked as turn signal bulbs. My car did NOT recognize them and flashed like one of them had burned out. They worked, but the machine didn't "sense" them due to the lack of resistance since they were LEDs and not a regular lightbulb.

I was looking for a replacement brake light that would last the life of the car. Unfortunately, this bulb looks about ten times brighter than the original bulb and is therefore completely useless as a brake light. Aside from being a lot less wattage than an incandescent bulb, the main problems are that LED emitters only emit light through the end of the bulb and not out the sides like a filament, and there are no brake housing reflectors at all. I ordered this despite online reviews warning against replacing incandescent bulbs with LEDs. So I was a bit concerned that the lightbulbs in my 2015 Camry LE weren't working properly (either blinking or throwing a console error). Neither happened. Another plus in my book (or a minus for others) is that the light isn't much more powerful than the original incandescent bulbs, so they shouldn't bother other motorists. The placement of the LEDs is excellent, meaning they give off a nice light in the housing but aren't bright enough. .For my Chevy Volt Gen 2 2017 and later they "cause" fast blinking, a resistor is needed.
