not very bright! They are maybe 1/3 brighter than the stock rear turn signals on my 2017 Chevy Volt Gen 2. The placement of the LEDs is excellent, meaning they give off a nice light in the housing but aren't bright enough. .For my Chevy Volt Gen 2 2017 and later they "cause" fast blinking, a resistor is needed. They light up faster and go out faster than conventional light bulbs. Applies to Philips 7443A AMBER Ultinon LED. Helpful Tip Chevy Volt Gen 2 2017: High Beam 9005; indicator 7443NA; Brake 7443 (r / red? Or transparent?); rear 7440; License plate 5W5 LL / alternative 194W worked fine. I am satisfied with the replacement of the LED license plate light (194W LED). I'll try that for my trunk soon. I'd like to test the 7443 red stop light replacements (r/red? or clear) but I'm concerned if they will be bright enough.
