I was looking for a DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem to get rid of the $10 a month rent on a family member's bill and came across this refurbished unit at Revain for less than half the amount time of new purchase. After much deliberation about whether to buy a new one or a used one, I decided on this one. Received the device (same day), connected to the PC, opened the browser, went to the Comcast activation page, entered the credentials and the router was set up and registered within 5 minutes! I connected it to my TP-LINK Wireless N300 300Mbps IPv6 Certified Home Router (TL-WR841N) for WIFI (since this modem doesn't come with WIFI) and everything has been working fine for 3 weeks now. A NOTICE. Before purchasing, check with your ISP to make sure this device is compatible with their network. By the way, I love the free same day shipping when I saw this item on my doorstep later in the day!
