First impression: Small (AC adapter is larger than the camera); Lightweight construction (one has to be a little careful with the plastic mounts as they seem to break if mishandled). First use: easy installation (plugged in and it works); securely attached to the windshield; Default settings OK (high resolution, sound on, 10 minute recording segments); some display symbols are difficult to interpret; the instruction manual is not very helpful; it is not clear if the device has a rechargeable battery (i.e. it can be charged and operated without a power cable). After first use: picture and sound are excellent; simple playback (SD card removed and inserted into PC, HDMI output not tried yet); the online user manual is the same as the product insert (ie useless); some functions are still unclear (e.g. the difference between Power Off and AC Power Off); Battery operation confirmed (but battery life unknown); Some menu items don't seem to work (e.g. anti-shaking, which can be permanently activated depending on how stable the picture is); A 16GB card is enough for about 80-120 minutes of Full HD recording (highest resolution with sound); The length of the power cord is long (long enough to go around the dashboard/window without being visible). Conclusion: Amazing value for money, good design, great functionality.
